Biosketch
- Volga Muthukumar is a chemical engineer with specialization in electrochemical engineering. Presently, she is a post-doctoral researcher at the 4MAT Department, ULB. She works on recycling unexplored secondary lithium resources under the RELiEF project funded by the European union. Her research focuses on hydrometallurgical leaching and extraction of lithium from various secondary resources.

She received her PhD for developing environment-friendly electrochemical methods for synthesizing low-temperature fuel cell catalysts at chemical engineering department, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. After PhD, she worked as researcher on various research projects such as photo-electrochemical water splitting, electrochemical textile waste water treatment and chemometric data analysis.
