We are hiring 2 PhD researchers for the EIC Pathfinder challenges project BrinE-Loop.
The first PhD researcher will work on developing electrometallurgical pathways to convert complex brine streams into valuable products. The candidate will work with electrochemical flow reactors and mainly on process integration with hydrometallurgical circuits.
The second PhD researcher will focus on removing residual ions from complex and diverse intermediate streams. This work will involve selective precipitation and developing loops that are consistent with our electrified architecture.
Applicants should have a strong background in electrochemistry, hydrometallurgy or in separation processes. Hands on experience in membrane electrolysis and/or hydrometallurgical unit operations are a plus. These are experiment heavy PhDs and the candidate should actually enjoy doing experiments.
