Norbert Manirakiza got his PhD in Environmental Chemistry in 2021, from the University of Burundi with mobility stays from 2018 at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) at the 4MAT Department. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Pollution Prevention and Remediation (2016). Since 2021, he is affiliated to the Burundi Higher Institute of Education as lecturer and researcher. He recently received a scholarship from ARES-ULB to carry out a postdoctoral position as researcher at the 4MAT Department of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), under the supervision of Professor Celine Gisele Jung. His current research focuses on the characterization and analysis of groundwater used by the population near Bujumbura and the study of human health risk assessment.
